iTunes 7 inherited old aac encoder

Continue to pay my old duties. This is about aac encoder from iTunes. As you probably noticed SE rating bars began to indicate min and max values (this is visible only on 192 kbit/s page because only those ratings are updated now). And it’s clearly seen now that iTunes (6.0) aac encoder, having pretty good overall rating around 6.00, has surprisingly low min value – around 3.5. This is because one of SE sound samples – glockenspiel – turned out to be a killer sample for that encoder. Even 320 kbit/s encoding has distinctly audible artifact. For those who want to listen, the sample is uploaded to dedicated thread at HA forum. Newly released iTunes 7 unfortunately uses exactly the same aac encoder. So the bug which can lead to audible artifacts on music with pure tones still persists.
